JERSEY
Jersey is always great to visit, just a quick blast down to Poole to catch the ferry. 4 days is a great break, the coastline is beautiful in the spring and the beaches are un crowded.
There are loads of small villages and harbours, all great to stop and have tea and cake, not to mention the bacon sandwiches!
We found the best Thai shack behind the White Horse Beach eatery in St Helier, called the Thai Dicq Shack, right on the beach, the best Thai we have ever had.
Beuport Beach is stunning just off the A13, it’s a 15 min walk down the cliffs but well worth it. La greve de Lecq harbour is a good stop, there are a few great cafes along the wall where the local bikers meet on the weekends.
A visit to the Jersey war tunnels is a must and of course Elizabeth Castle.
I took my Tiger 1200, a bit on the big side really, would be great to do some of the green lanes on a 650 trailie.
